• Local Device Data: User study streaks, XP, saved favorite quotes, and theme preferences are stored locally on your device in standard browser localStorage.
• AI Quota Tracking: We track your numeric AI credit usage count in our database to ensure free tier allocation and premium credit accounting.
• Document Processing: When you upload a course PDF or paste text into our summarizer or flashcard tools, the text is processed via secure API endpoints solely to generate your requested study aids. Your uploaded materials are not shared with third parties or used for model training.
• Payment Records: Subscriptions are processed by PayFast (South Africa). PayFast securely handles card details. We only receive confirmation of payment, transaction reference, and your email.

3. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display relevant advertisements on select public educational content pages.
